Marketing director Rachel Portnov believes the Bay Area is a precious gem. Raised along the Peninsula in South San Francisco by her Ukrainian immigrant parents, she briefly left the area to attend California State University, Sacramento, but once she completed her bachelor’s degree, she moved back to the area. While she loves being close to family and friends, she also appreciates the region’s beauty and diversity.
With a degree in communication studies and a marketing minor, Rachel originally pursued a career in the radio industry. She worked as a marketing, promotions, and event coordinator for Bonneville International, which ran four of San Francisco’s most popular stations. In this role, she gained skills in scheduling, networking, and social media management. Rachel discovered her passion for events and helping people celebrate special milestones in their lives, which led her to real estate. Buying a home is one of life’s most exciting and challenging experiences, and she uses her communications background to make the process as seamless as possible.
As a real estate professional, Rachel thrives in a fast-paced environment where she gets to meet new people every day. She prioritizes open communication with clients, providing buyers and sellers with reliable and knowledgeable contact throughout their transactions. She also maintains excellent relationships with local service providers and vendors. Armed with strong marketing and social media skills, she can provide the best possible customer service.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys traveling as she has a fondness for experiencing new cultures and food. She is passionate about helping her local area, especially with the Helping Hands Community, which serves individuals at risk for COVID-19 and food insecurity by using technology to facilitate the delivery of essential supplies to those in need. She is also a dog lover and participates in local pet-themed events. Whether she is spending an afternoon at a Giants game or hiking in Pacifica, Rachel enjoys all that the Bay Area has to offer.
