📚 Rainn Wilson: Soul Boom
When: Wednesday, April 24, 7 - 8pm
Location: San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 600 N Delaware St San Mateo, CA 94401
Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute, The Office) brings us a warm, funny, serious case for healing ourselves and our world with a spiritual “boom.”
Now with his book Soul Boom: Why We Need A Spiritual Revolution, Wilson asks us to consider things bigger than us all—to think about the spiritual elements of life in very difficult times.
We all share in the misery of a splintered society and a post-pandemic emotional hangover. And there’s only so much the government or economic titans can do to right the wrongs that keeps us awake nights. Wilson says the missing ingredient is a “soul boom”: a spiritual healing both global and individual. Spirituality, he argues, can bring us a unifying understanding of the world—inspiration and insight that sacred and spiritual traditions provide. And he makes his case with the humor that made us laugh so hard at, and even with, Dwight.
Join us for a deep and inspiring conversation between Rainn Wilson and Kepler’s host Angie Coiro that is guaranteed to make you think and laugh and think again!
