End of Summer Celebrations: Top Events to Close Out the Season

 September Nights on B Street 🍝

Family fun returns to B Street! Grab take-out from a local restaurant and enjoy outdoor dining in Downtown San Mateo in the pedestrian mall between 1st and 2nd Avenues. The street will be transformed into an outdoor dining pavilion with communal tables and chairs. A children's play area will be offered, as well as live music for all ages.
Beer and wine will be available for purchase. No outside alcohol allowed.

When:  Thursday, September 12:  Pure Ecstasy * 6pm-8pm

             Thursday, September 19:  Mercy and The Heartbeats 6pm-8pm

 Rock the Block 🎶

Join the jam on the North Block Plaza for another season of the free ROCK THE BLOCK Concert Series on select Fridays in September from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Bring a blanket and grab a bite, beverages, or cocktails from any Hillsdale restaurant to enjoy an evening picnic or settle in listening to the music under the stars while patio-dining at Palette Tea Garden or Pinstripes.

Enjoy the last of the warm summer nights with family and friends with this year’s line-up:

September 6 - Twist on Taylor: A Taylor Swift Tribute Band

September 13 - Dan Ashley, ABC7 Evening News Anchor

September 20 - Fire Peach, The Bay Area’s Best 90’s Rock Cover Band

The Whole Pie at Pie Ranch 👢

Whole Pie, an outdoor multi-course meal catered by Just Fare, with farm tours, an exciting live auction, and Pie’s famous barn dance. For over 10 years, the Whole Pie feast in the field fundraiser generates crucial support for our general operations fund. This fabulous sit-down feast features the best the farm has to offer, paired with wine from local vineyards. Don't worry, you'll work it all off at the Barn Dance after the meal!

 September Arts and Culture Fest in San Mateo 🎨

The San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce and County of San Mateo Office of Arts and Culture are pleased to present the September Arts & Culture Fest – the best street festival on the Peninsula.

This free day-long event features local musicians, entertainment and cultural performances, artists and craft-makers, cuisine from around the world, wine and beer, and family-friendly activities in the heart of downtown San Mateo.

Location: B Street between 1st and 3rd Avenues as well as Baldwin Avenue.
