Northern California Cherry Blossom Fest, Warriors Playoffs, 626 Night Market, Earth Day, & more this upcoming month!

Now that spring has sprung, there’s so much to do! Looking for something to do in the San Francisco Bay Area? Look no further than these exciting events happening throughout the Bay! From a wide variety of festivals to family-friendly activities and adult only festivities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival, Warriors playoff events, Bay Area Craft Beer Festival, Mill Valley Music Festival, and so much more! Read on to learn more about these exciting events happening in April & May 2023.

 

1. Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival

Welcome to the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival®, one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian traditions and the largest Cherry Blossom Festival on the West Coast. Since 1968, the Festival serves to cultivate the continued alliance between Japan and the United States using culture as its bridge. Each year, over 220,000 people attend this dazzling display showcasing the vibrant colors and grace of the Japanese culture and the rich heritage and diversity of the Japanese American community. Join this weekend, April 15-16 throughout San Francisco's Japan town for the festival.

 

2. Warriors Playoffs Watch Party

Dub Nation – come out to Thrive City this Saturday, April 15th at 4pm for the Golden State Warriors Playoffs Watch Party, presented by Chase. Enjoy lawn games and our sport court, special guests and entertainers, and cheer on the Dubs while we broadcast the game on the plaza board! All Chase cardholders can show their Chase credit or debit card to access the Chase Lounge for a VIP experience and receive an exclusive giveaway (while supplies last).

 

3. Bay Area Craft Beer Festival

The 2023 Bay Area Craft Beer Festival returns to the Martinez Waterfront on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 Noon - 4pm ! Featuring 50 local breweries and over 100 beers to sample including Home Brew, live music, delicious food, & fun!

 

4. 626 Night Market Mini

626 Night Market is back this Spring at a new, larger location--bringing the epic flavors of their giant flagship food festivals in a MINI version to the South Bay at the Great Mall in Milpitas. Featuring three dozen of the most popular, local, small business food pop-ups (curated by the 626 Night Market team), merchandise/craft vendors, a full bar, and live music. Join in person April 22nd-23rd OR May 13th-14th.

 

5. Earth Day in San Francisco 2023

Join at Golden Gate Park for the 53rd Anniversary of Earth Day April 22nd 11AM-6PM!

Earth Day SF is about celebrating the accomplishments of global citizen-activists since Earth Day began in 1970. Coming together to enjoy music, food, creating art, and inspiring hope for our children’s future. Knowing that together we can embody the green revolution. Providing information for impactful consumer choices.

 

6. Earth Day at Shoreway in San Carlos 2023

RethinkWaste is hosting its 12th annual Earth Day on Saturday, April 29th in-person at the Shoreway Environmental Center in San Carlos! There will be a “Super Swap” where you can bring gently used puzzles, books, and clothing to trade with the community! All leftover items will be donated to a local organization or thrift store. There will also be two tours offered, providing an inside look at the Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer Station. Tour guides will also review how to sort waste items properly and answer questions from the group.
