I recently caught up with Kevin Palmer of Premier Termite & Construction, Inc. to talk about his business and what exactly they do. He provided a lot of insightful commentary on the topic.

Today we are joined by Kevin Palmer from Premier Termite & Construction Inc. to talk a little bit about his business, his career, and himself.
Kevin started his career in 1989, fresh out of college with an ornamental horticulture degree. He and his wife started knocking on doors, built a client base, and they’ve been going strong ever since. They do termite inspections for homebuyers and home sellers. Here’s an outline of what we discussed so that you can skip ahead to the section that interests you the most:
0:50- Why Kevin’s business is more important to the real estate industry than most people realize and his recommendations for homeowners to stay on top of their termite inspections.
2:15- Why humidity is such a big determining factor in a home’s susceptibility to termites.
3:15- A closer look at two different types of termite treatments: the simple local treatment and the full fumigation.
5:20- The price ranges for different termite inspections and treatments from Premier Termite & Construction.
6:07- Common areas of a home where people tend to experience termite damage and subtle signs to look out for.
8:10- The difference between section 1 items and section 2 items on an inspection report and why you need to fix one of them right away.
9:00- The areas that Premier Termite & Construction covers and the areas that are more susceptible and less susceptible to infestations than others.
10:45- Why Kevin includes estimates on his reports and the unique situation that his company is in to make termite repairs.
Thanks so much to Kevin for joining me for an exciting and insightful conversation. If you have any other questions about termite inspections, infestations, or anything similar, give Kevin a call at (650) 726-7756 or send an email over to [email protected].
